Team: FX In-House Motion Design
This show presented the fun challenge of creating not only a core graphics package for the series, but also two alt packages that featured reduced, lighting/bokeh-centric designs, and one themed set of graphics for a special Valentine's Day push.
Our core package utilized dreamy visuals of era-specific New York, as well as beachy Martha's Vineyard-esque settings to root the story in a time and place. True to show name, we wanted to focus on the romance associated with their story, so motion has a flow and etherial vibe at times. Large, cropped letterforms served as graphic elements to break up the scenes, play with scale, and create framing devices for our messaging.
For the Valentine's Day graphics, we utilized the title font for our interstitials, leaned into a romantic palette, and utilized more delicate letterforms as our graphic element to create a unique look that maintained some continuity with the core package.
