This highly detail-oriented, live shoot-based show open was carefully crafted for season one of the Pretty Little Liars reboot, 'Original Sin.' Working hand in hand with both our clients at Max, and PLL:OS showrunners, the team at Mocean and our production company partners created a set deeply inspired by the creeper of the show. In-camera refraction techniques added an extra layer of unease to the already eerie visuals. The typography for our credits was built around our customized set of A's, a letter intertwined with the identity of the series.
When I joined the project as producer, a version of the concept was in the works. Once on board, we continued to dial in the script and visuals for the shoot. On set, I worked in tandem with our director/CD to ensure we had all necessary content for post. In post production, I served as producer for the animation and editorial aspects of the show open. Custom cue was provided by client.
