Agency:  MOCEAN  //  Client:  WebMD

Created in the midst of Covid, this piece brought together content and creativity from around the world. Our collaborators at WebMD masterminded a lean shoot with Judy Ferguson in Australia, allowing her to put a face and humanity to Narcolepsy. Our team at Mocean then built upon the interview footage, textural B-roll and imagery/journals provided by Judy to tell the story of her condition and experiences. Typography, stop motion, CG, and integrated embellishment were woven into the cut and scored by an eclectic blend of cues to give the piece a dream-like quality and nod to themes of sleep.

I served as overall producer for all aspects of the project, managing initial creative look dev, execution of design and animation, editorial + delivery of final piece in its hero and cutdown durations. The extensive shot list of this six-minute piece meant we had a robust team of designers and animators working in parallel, all remotely. To complement the footage and motion graphics, we also tapped into public domain imagery, which required extensive tracking to ensure all content adhered to fair use guidelines.
